Great single player/ Horrible multiplayer

MX vs. ATV reflex is big improvement over past MX vs. ATV titles. The graphics are excellent and the new reflex control system works really well. However, the online game play is ridiculous; you have to wait 30 to 45 minutes in a loading area for a match to start. After it does, no telling what will happen. Sometimes it works and you get to race but, most of the time it tosses you out after ½ a lap or so. Please do some research before buying this game for online multiplayer on Xbox Live.

Pretty good game if you are a fan of the MX VS ATV series. The new control system is a little hard to get used to at first. Also tricks are a little harder to pull off as well. Once you get the hang of it its great fun. The physics for this game are amazing, it really makes it fell like you are controlling the Bike/Quad.

My son is 10 and has every MX game you can get, he says this is the BEST yet! He races MX and could list a ton of features that are realistic to racing.
The dirt, ruts, picking your gear (more choices),body movement etc. One of the thing he liked best when you can see the racers going to the pit area…so many cool things-
He would love to see a game that actually had the reall National tracks that the pro’s race on like Red Bud, Budds Creek, MX338 etc.

Cargo rack on a Honda ATV

Purchased both front and rear racks Product well made but only included 2 U bolts per rack for attatchment which was adequate but minimal Purchasing flat U bolts at the hardware store @ 4 per rack gave a better fit and more stability.
For the Honda rancher which has a raised bar in the back, cutting a hole in the rack with my grinder allowed for a better fit

Excellent adjustment features – Review with installation notes

I just installed this bracket on my concrete garage wall. This unit is quite heavy, and provides for infinite adjustment which was my major reason for purchase versus the alternatives. As noted in prior reviews, the installation instruction are sparse regarding wall mounting, and the correct height to mount on a wall. Here are some of my installation suggestions and hints. First, I suggest that you test assemble it loosely with all of the components that you will be using for your installation on a workbench, so that you can see everything working together before you mount it (there will be parts left over). From that test assembly, I determined the amount of travel (elevation adjustment) available in the screw jack. If you mount the the bottom of the base plate on the wall at 8′ above the driveway the rim height can be adjusted from about 7′ to just over 10′ at the top of the screw’s travel. (The instructions give a minimum elevation reference from a hole in the middle of the mount to the ground, which is an odd way to provide this measurement.) I mounted the base plate into the solid concrete beam over the garage door, with 4″ lag screws into long lag screw expanding sheilds. My only complaint about the screw jack mechanism is that is seemed to be inadequately lubricated from the factory. I took mine apart (remove the hook from the bottom) and discovered that it had only a small smear of grease on the middle of the screw. I completely greased the screw, the bearing washers and the sliding surfaces of the tubes with white lithium grease. This makes the action smoother, and will hopefully prevent corrosion. Lastly, when doing the final mounting, do not tighten all of the fasteners completely in each step of assembly. Having some “play” in the joints makes getting all of the bolt holes to line up easier. I did this entire installation alone (not recommended) and offer this last tip for the most awkward part of the assembly, mounting the backboard to the elevator arms. I held the backboard upside-down and backwards to then insert the bottom bolt through the bottom elevator arms and through the bottom backboard mounting holes. The bottom arms are hanging low to the ground at this point, so you’re lower on the ladder, and more stable in this position. Then using the bottom bolt as a pivot point, swing the backboard upward into its final position (with the upper arms cranked down to the lowest position to make it easier to reach) and insert the upper bolt through the upper arms and upper backboard mounting holes. I did mounted the backboard without the rim in place to make it less cumbersome and lighter. When the mount and the backboard are all loosely assembled, then go back and tighten all of the fasteners to their final tightness.

Sturdy and Adjustable

I installed this on a wall. This lift system is very sturdy and allows you to adjust the backboard height to any setting between 7 and 10 feet. Most of the other adjustable systems I looked at only give you six adjustment options. Adjusting gradually works nicely for younger players. Having to use the included crank handle to lift and lower the system is nice too. The crank unhooks and can be stored out of reach of the kids. This may seem kind of trivial, but it prevents my older daughter from cranking the rim up higher than what my younger daughter can shoot. It also prevents older kids from lowering the rim to have unsupervised slam dunk contests. I mounted a 48inch Spalding backboard on this and the whole setup is rock solid. Assembly is pretty straight forward. My only complaint is that I wasn’t able to locate within the instructions the exact height the unit should be off the ground. The instructions list a “minimum” height to one of the bolt holes. It would have been nice to have some sort of guidance on exactly what height was needed to hit 10 feet exactly. I ended up at 3 inches over with the unit cranked completely to the top. That was with using the minimum height measurement. I’m not moving it as there are four 1/2 inch bolts all the way through my garage wall now.

Adjustable basketball goal mounting bracket

This is a heavy duty mount. There are more expensive mounts. Save your money. This one is all you will need. It is easy to adjust. Be sure to have your thinking cap on and some help when you start. I would mount the backboard to the mounting bracket first ,and elevate the whole thing if you have a way to raise it. (I used the wall mount)

I really needed new brakes

These work amazingly compared to what I was using before. Before I couldn’t stop at all and sometimes I just flew through intersections and I’m pretty sure I caused a wreck but when I was being investigated I had these brakes on and I showed the detective how good they worked and he was convinced so he bought some of his own. They’re really easy to put on, all you need is a wrench or vice grip

These are a little heavier than more expensive pads and they attach with bolts requiring a box wrench rather than an allen wrench like more expensive pads, but they have good stopping power at a good price.

**** PRICE to QUALITY RATIO IS TOPS ON THESE! ****

I have replaced the pads on several vintage bikes with these and they make all the difference.

Generally, on an older bike, the OEM pads – even if they are still aligned correctly – are usually hardened from time and don’t give a lot of stopping power.

These solve that problem make our vintage bikes stop like they were caught by an arresting hook; they also seem to do a good job in wet conditions with steel rims [the kind that are very probably on your vintage bike].

PROS:

-Inexpensive; especially with SS shipping
-Don’t mar sides of the rim
-Stop bikes really fast
-Work well in wet conditions on steel rims

CONS:

-None to my knowledge; I guess that’s why they are the top selling pads at Amazon.com
